When to Visit
Beach weather May to October. Ephesus best in shoulder season. Thermal stays at their finest in winter. The honest month-by-month rundown.
Short version
May to mid-June, or September to early October
These are the easiest weeks: warm sea, manageable heat, low crowds at Ephesus, and resorts open and properly staffed. July and August are hot and busy but cheaper than the headline Aegean destinations. Winter is for thermal stays in Balcova and city breaks in Izmir itself.
